WELCOME

The Belgian Society for Virology (BELVIR) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2012, as part of the Belgian Interuniversity Attraction Pole Program.

BELVIR offers a forum to scientists active in all aspects of virology. The aim is to stimulate the exchange of information and collaboration among virologists working in Belgium or abroad.

Every year, BELVIR organizes a symposium to gather Belgian virologists and share new insights from state-of-the-art virological research from Belgium or abroad. Registration for the Annual BELVIR Symposium automatically includes one-year membership of the BELVIR Society.

This years symposium will take place on Wednesday 3 December 2025, The Symposium will be held at Hotel Le Plaza in Brussels. See here for details.
